...That's where I ride... Paint Creek Trail... Clinton River Trail... Macomb Orchard Trail... Addison Oaks Parks... Bald Mountain Recreation Areas. Lots of Rails-to-Trails routes. Stony Creek Metro Park.
I also do the 6-day Michigander every July... the five-day Tour 'Da UP in AUgist and some local one-day organized rides.
A group of us meet regularly through the summer at the Rochester Public Library for Saturday morning training rides. We call ourselves "Team Clydesdale." Check out the video at www.clydesdalefitness.com
Our next training ride will be Saturday May 17. 8:30 am at the library. Come join us!

One of my favorite early morning rides is to leave from home on my road bike, take the Clinton River Trail (it's rideable on 25mm tires) to the Macomb Orchard Trail on out to 32 Mile Rd. I eat a good breakfast in downtown Romeo and then head back for a 30-mile round-trip that's a great start to the day.
When they finish that bridge over M-53 in a couple of months, you'll be able to do a 60+ mile round trip out to Richmond and back (on a fat-tire bike).
I was hoping to do my first Michigander this year (with Bubba and all), but had a schedule conflict. Maybe I'm destined not to ever do this ride that's interested me since the first year they had it. I signed up for it one time before, and on my first training ride took a fall that put me out of it. But I am signed up for the LMB "Sunrise Adventure" -- a 3-day road event in Rogers City in June. Keeping my fingers crossed...

I'm new to the forum! Originally from California and have been in the Midwest for about a year. I'm currently living in Chicago off of Irving Park and Lakeshore.
I ride up into the north burbs, south on lakeshore, and roads in the Barrington area.

I lived in Milwaukee for eight years -- never drank beer until I moved there!
But, was a great place to bike. I like the "bike trails" that you can pick up -- some paths loop almost all the way around Milwaukee! Loved riding along the lakefront.

Just joined the Forums a couple days ago, I am from Kalamazoo Michigan. It is a tough area to start riding in, lots of hills, I mean LOTS of hills! But I really enjoy it!

Fort Wayne, Indiana, west side has rolling hills (somewhat) as I experienced on the north side of Kalamazoo, were I was weaned on biking.
Travel the Midwest for work assignments. Prepping second bike to travel in truck bed on those trips.

Southwest Michigander here.
Niles - Dowagiac - Kalamazoo Area to be rough. Looking for group options in this area, preferable road biking. The Kalamazoo Mountains can be rough but its not more so the mountain but the grades we have in this area. Plenty of hills for training.
PM me if you got a group going on.
