What happened to the weird framed Sirrus?

They all seem to have vanished from Specialized site.

These ones.

Engineering 101: a triangle is inherently a strong configuration. A trapezoid or parallelogram is not.

Well I got lucky. I almost bought one but my size was out of stock. They garnered very good reviews.

Was there reports of frame cracks ?

It’s a Sirius X btw.

We’ve sold a bunch of them. As recently as last Saturday.

Mike, I simply must insist that you repeat the 2nd grade and learn all your tenses.

Why are they not in the website ? Stock? Usually they still show bikes that will be restocked

“I simply must insist” is a piss poor sentence, “ I insist” is all that is required.

Bikes: Tallboy, Domane, old 90s MTB beater/grocery-getter, and a new franken-gravel experiment based on a Sirrus x 5.0.

They're there under City Bikes -> Fitness Bikes -> Sirrus. They haven't gone anywhere, but I kind of wish they would. I much preferred the older style 2020-2022 Sirrus X 5.0-6.0.

Actually, his wording conveys a deeper sense of feeling. Less isn’t always more.

Now, “Was there reports….”?

Thanks for the photo. Hadn't come across that model. I would trust the Specialized engineers to know what they're doing. Whether enough people will go for a frame design that must look ungainly to many, and that obviates the possibility of mounting a front derailleur, is the issue, I guess.

Are you talking about these two bikes that took maybe 2 seconds to find (granted I am on their site often so a mere mortal might need a few extra seconds)

weird that on Canadian site the X Sirus used to be wacky frame only

Now they are totally gone and old frame is X Sirus.

Are you OK? This bizarre question for a bike which is still obviously available and clearly listed on Specialized site. Did you bring this up because the design may be a bit controversial with the more traditional members of this forum resulting in bickering?

By the way what happened to your Club Project One thread it just vanished?

Project One likely deleted due to a member with the silly paint job complaining about a perceived slight

Funky frame not listed on Canadian site. I’m in Canada. It used to be on the site as Sirus X 5 and 6. I think they look cool. Was going to order the white X6 but appears to no longer be available here

There was a lot of solar activity recently. It caused some problems with GPS, and apparently deleted a few threads started by a particular poster. There is a God.

There must have been some there there or it would not have happened. Perfectly good threads don't get deleted because someone complains without merit.

Canadian Specialized may have discontinued the funky frame model. It happens all the time in Korea, especially with Specialized, where they'll suddenly discontinue imports of a model while it's still being sold in the US. Maybe head on down to the border? Order a funky frame Sirrus into a dealer on the US side of the border and drive on over with it? I don't know about duties and customs, though. Could you walk across, take a taxi and ride back to your car?
