Suspension Seatpost for Zizzo Forte

I have a Thudbuster LT laying around from a hardtail mountain bike that I no longer use. I'd like to add it on to the Zizzo. How would I go about it? I don't have a lot of power tools available so I want to keep it simple. I can cut the Zizzo seatpost with a pipe cutter and then cut a channel through the post and shim it. If anyone has an easier way let me know. Thanks!

I take it that it is the wrong diameter. Is that right? I have a Thudbuster ST in mine. I tried the LT, but it had too much suspension for me and it was sometimes fighting my cadence. What is the problem you are having with the one you have now?

I did this.
Have a drill stop at the end of the channel.
