But it was a really nice magnifying glass..

When you tell your niece, who is wearing big sunglasses, "Hey, you got that Jackie O thing going on."
And she replies, "Who's Jackie O?"

Yesterday I jokingly asked a customer if I could hug her when she said I could not be any older than 38 and she hugged me when I said she could not be any older than 32... she told she has two grown sons who are in their 20's.

She was more than a little surprised to discover I am on the very near side of 50 and said it must be all that cycling...

Yea, and when you become grumpy because all the local stations will only play the washed-out remake of Hotel California - not the Kick @$$ original!

You fear mentioning that the Titanic did indeed sink, because you know you should include a spoiler alert for the under-20 crowd.

In the 50s, I grew up watching black and white TV and two of my favorite shows were the Mickey Mouse Club and Davy Crockett. Well, I just found out that Annette Funicello passed away at age 70, RIP. Anyway, just for the sake of good old memories, let us enjoy this clip from the old days.

You realize you're old, when you read all the responses in the "You realize you're old when..." thread, and you realize that most of the responses could have been your responses!

You know you're getting old when no matter how many times you shake it, that last drop still runs down your leg.

No-------------actually we should be glad we are still alive and and be able to think of all the things that made up our lives. Today we mourn the loss of Annette and the great Margaret Thatcher. This is the sad part of growing old.
