Wednesday's 37 mile destination ride to the Simply Natural Creamery for ice cream. A perfect cool & overcast morning made for a great ride. The newest welcoming calf Bertha was there to say hi & scratch my chin will 'ya

I was able to get out this morning, the late at 8:45 AM for a 24.3 mile ride. I rode the bike path and got off for a bit here and there.I did see a car on a short portion of the bike path. I guess the driver was confused. Also, I helped a guy who was trying to put air into his tires on the bike stand on the rail trail. The air pump wasn’t working and I let him use my air pump. At least his tires won’t slip out from under him as he had mentioned they were. Anyway, a very pleasant

ride for Friday.

24 miles today in 3 hr. 15 min.
Kind of hard to estimate speed from that alone- Kept stopping here and there for pix and coffee.

Wellington Crescent just past the Kenaston rail under pass.
Great day for it at about 68 F.

Canada Geese ignoring me in Assiniboine Park.

More of the same with the Leaf multi purpose structure in the back-ground.

Finally got to ride in here in the Assiniboine forest.
There's a lot of Seneca Root and Sage growing wild in here. Beautiful scent.
Not quite the right bike for the single track stuff. Trail is about 6" wide, with a lot of roots and the occasional limestone rock. Grannied her down to 6th, and pole footed through 2 really rough rutted spots.
This is something I had been meaning to do for a very long time.
That particular track is about a mile and quarter.

Next time I'm in there, it'll be on the MTB.
I was doing quite a bit of over-correcting with the skinny wheels.
The drops are a little bit narrow for quick corrected control.
I am pleased with myself, and even more impressed with the improvements made to the bike.

The 50's move pretty quick at Costco here- I think it's mostly commercial trade buying it.
See a lot of 25's go for family use.

First ride in October. Been really busy at work, makes it tough to get rides in during the week. 18 miles, basically up to downtown and back in a big loop.

It's super white. I use a lot to make rice flour for cookies and cakes. I'm sure Calrose also offers brown rice, but the stuff I get is snow white.

Did just 15 this morning, didn’t seem to have enough energy level to do much more. I could have pushed it but it seems right now that becomes a point of diminishing returns. My plan next week is to get back to 25+/- a couple of times, weather and life permitting. Hope you all enjoy the weekend.

I got out this morning at about 9 am. I waited for the rain to pass and then left the house. I thought the bike path would be busier as today is Saturday. And I am working on my attitude about sharing the bike path with the oblivious. Anyway, I got a 25.4 mile ride in as I decided to add a stop in at the CVS. So a good bike ride for Saturday.
