Head Terrain Fit

A couple of online retailers, including BikesDirect is selling this bike for $327.00. There are two of them on FB Marketplace in my area with asking prices of $400 and $450. One was ridden one time and the other was never ridden and is being sold because "wife says I have too many bikes". This raises some red flags to me. The bike is definitely entry level and maybe it didn't meet the expectations of these two sellers. Although I have no interest in purchasing one of these, I am curious if there is some kind of issue with this particular bicycle. Anyone have any experience with or knowledge about this bike?

I don't have experience with it. I have seen it before online.

Your question is whether there is an issue with the bike.
My answer to that is- it depends.

If you are expecting the bike to perform at a high level, yes there is an issue with the bike- it's a low end bike and will fail to meet expectations.
If you are expecting the bike to perform like a low cost entey level bike, no there is no issue with the bike- it will meet and possibly exceed your expectations.

It has low end tires, ltwoo drivetrain, literally unbranded brakes, QR wheels, and an aluminum fork.
On the upside, it's a 2x9 drivetrain and has capacity for wide tires.

I'm sure with some proper adjustments, it could be a serviceable commuter bike or neighborhood/path bike.

Oh, I wouldn't buy this bike for the reasons you stated. Just wondering why people are dumping them so quickly. Even Walmart bikes get more usage before being discarded.

I've seen Craigslist listings for bikes, electric guitars, etc., where the person placing the ad undoubtedly bought the item with the sole intention of listing it with a price that is more than was paid, with the expectation of selling it to someone who didn't think to do so much as a quick search for the product.

Don't know if it ever works. Just like those ads showing a dirty and neglected '70's-era department-store-quality bike accompanied by the statement that it's a rare racing bike of the type used in the Tour de France and is worth much more than the $300 being asked.
