Not exactly today but I got lots of cool stuff. From a Seller in Serbia I got a Bianchi headbadge, already installed on my Argentine inspired travel keg. From our favorite down under seller Cyclomundo I got another Bianchi headbage for a spare for something, and neat liitle Campagnolo extra.
And from Ukraine..... I needed a TreTubi sticker for Simone' so I ordered on for her and one for my travel keg as well as an SP for something and Alex Cycles was kind enough to send me these great extra stickers! #Alexcycles
From the UK I also got a rear derailleur for Samantha Reno.

Oooh, new glasses for a massive £12.99:
Mainly for wind/dust/bug avoidance.
But these are +1.0 dioptre
That's 'full screen' - not bifocals.
Available in +1, +1.5, +2, +2.5
+1.0 improves my distance vision slightly, and they seem fine optically.
I'll see how the wind protection works tomorrow.
Also available in colours etc.

From Mad Honk to help smooth out my family Zurich shortage. First photo shows the results of stripping frame packaging that was pleasurable. Second is starting the search for the matchy matchy touch up paint and a good fork.

Sylvan MKS Touring pedals, chrome clips, and Dia-Compe cable clips, all from Velo-Orange. I'll throw them all on my 1976 Motobecane Grand Touring tomorrow. The original French-made Atom pedals that came on the bike finally spit the bit. I'll rebuild the bearings at some point.

A new set of Vitus 172 frame and fork stickers for my 1976 Motobecane Grand Touring. I won't be applying the fork stickers since those are Motobecane spec'd steel (although I may go ahead and put them on the forks just for a splash of color), but I'll apply the larger sticker to the seat tube to replace the original. Sourced off of Amazon from World Cycle Decals in Manchester, UK.
The protective covering is still in place prior to applying to the frame.

Hudson Hi-Fi Ben record stabilizer weight in black, it came today, and there is a subtle affect to the sound, a bit more pronounced on less than near perfect records. What's odd is I tried it on my wool mat and had a very difficult time discerning any sound differences with or without the weight, but when I used the Hudson Hi-Fi acrylic mat there was a difference I could hear. The acrylic platter makes a nice improvement with reducing static to zero, tightening up the bass, as well as sounding clearer, and seems to have more separation vs the wool platter, which was better than my old cork platter; so now the weight has added a bit more of an improvement. I'm slowly dialing in my vintage turntable. The wool mat has a warmer sound than the acrylic, but the acrylic is more accurate, so for instrumental, acoustical, or older jazz the wool is the mat I go with it brings out the warmth of wood instruments, but everything else the acrylic is used most of the time.
I test this stuff and if something doesn't do anything that I can hear, I sent it back!

An Arai drum brake for the tandem. Mrs non-fixie suggested we'd take our tandem to France or Italy, and as much as I like the idea, the Weinmann cantis that are on it aren't going to cut it on the descents in Tuscany or the Provence.

We would be driving down and the tandem would go on top of the car. I have the Vittorio tandem roof rack for it. It will probably wreak havoc on the gas mileage.

The captain's and stoker's seat tube measurements are 64 and 52 centimeters respectively. We better not ...

Not only that, both riders want the heavier, stronger person in front. It's hard to control a tandem with a bigger stoker than captain.
