Steel crank rings

I got around cleaning a nice Sugino crank with steel rings. What's the take on these? Are they considered too heavy or do people rock them just the same?

Since it is from a well respected manufacturer, I should be of good quality. I see no reason to replace it unless it doesn't fit the gearing that you want.

I'm not planning on doing anything with it at the moment. This is just one of the spare cranks I have, I was just cleaning it for no good reason.
