I could not have a nicer (and younger) adoption father.
Notice that my little 'brother' has long hair and a full beard. Birds of a feather, flock together.

For those who have not seen the photo of Matt in Phil done in black and white, it's the most awesome Cino photo. It was my screensaver for years. It exudes cool

Ah, sorry I won’t get to meet Phillip, Matt, but I guess I’ll have to make do with Stuart! Looking forward to seeing you both soon.

There's a country song in there some where. With a chorus of ...'make do with Stu'...
Not as snappy as - I just wanna be more like Matt P - but that’s a high bar, not the low road for a salty dockside dog.

I went for long saddle time today. Tennessee Ernie's Ford's -16 Tons (of #9 coal) - was in my head getting Cino lyrics.
Gentle grades, long sight lines and few potholes will do that to ya.

Don't remember ever hearing that before! Is it the real origin of "another day older and deeper in debt"?

The bacon is required eating to maintain the tradition of the event, but I found it to not be the most appetizing thing at the top of a not-insignificant climb.

Sorry your plans fell through. You will enjoy the heck out of it when you get there in 2025.

There are still rooms available Saturday at The Symes. A bit smokey now but likely to improve.

Pic from Symes just now.

and alas, the Cino Pimp must pass this year. We've sold a house, bought a house, and are moving in on the 16th, with a metric buttload of painting, fence installing, appliance replacing, cleaning the old house, etc. Looks like cool weather for the ride, which I would have thrived under.

Have a great ride everyone!

I think having all your plans fall through is very Cino. Hopefully we'll see you next year. I'll eat some bacon for you. Unlike bikingshearer, I thought it was possibly the best bacon I've ever had.

If you get used to the smell, you’ve definitely stayed too long.

Congrats Gugie and welcome to the “we’ll get ‘em next year” club. White gloves for the Heron are in the mail.

The Heron's getting dragged over to the New Atelier like George Costanza doing wheelies around the Yankee Stadium parking lot with a World Series trophy attached to the back of the car by a rope.

Congrats and sorry. (Is it proper to include both sentiments in a single message?)

Are you still going to be in Greater Portlandia?
