Yeah thats weird for sure when there are no good pics close up - I thought they normally had a pantograph in the seat stay caps and not seeing that here... Hmm

Yeah, really not a bad deal at all. I bought the same bike in the blue/yellow color scheme, but mine has rust, and paint chips, and swapped parts... This one listed seems to be in really good shape. It's been up for sale for a while as well- maybe half a year or so? They may be willing to drive a bit or further drop the price to be rid of it.

agreed: fork is genuine Guerc but only thing I can tell from that pic is the DOs are the mid-80's style of GPM that Bianchi used a lot. So it's probably an Italian frame but no telling what make.
And...appears to have sold anyhow

Raleigh Portage - $350 - Escondido, CA
https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/...770443330.html
In my mind, pricey for a 555 frame, but cheap for a Portage, I bow to the wisdom of wrk101 - Valuation Request Raleigh Portage Tour 1986? although that valuation is 2 years old?

Edit: was not searching "Raleigh" today, just happened to be "Raleigh" day.

don't see many of these, a little rough, mixed up parts

Very cool bike. Maybe not top of line, particularly parts, but a good price in my estimation. I've been looking for one in my size for years. I visited the Lazzaretti shop in Rome years ago. I assume they are still going.

Ha, I often run itno a sting of similar bikes, just randomness. I've probably had 5 1988 MTBs with U-brakes in the past few months. 'Course, that's right in my wheelhouse so I tend to notice and buy them.

Anyway, this is a seller with many bikes. He has some nice ones, but imo they are usually way overpriced. Roughly 2-3 times above fair market value. This is borne out because he posts the same bikes day after day with no discernable change in price.

IDK about this one in particular, but my guess is that it's also overpriced

yeah, I noticed right after I posted this he also had a Sirrus listed at $345, which I know is too much $$. As I said in my OP, too much for me, but sold listings say someone who wants one will pay. First one I have seen for sale in the last two years.

even if it's not a "Team" it's a really nice high end Miyata frameset for a give-away price. Somebody in PDX should grab this!
