I’m out this month. I’m flying home Saturday morning, unfortunately the plane lands at the same time as the ride.

That's too bad! I guess I'll have to bring it in September, too!

I can't make it this month. either, so I won't lose any sleep over that bike to bring.

I will skip this time. Have a club event and also wait for my 20 inch paramount frame to arrive tomorrow.

I'm out for today's ride. Wife is positive for Covid five days ago, and although I have tested negative, I can't see taking a chance on my not being contagious. So, I hope to ride with the group again in November due to travel. September riding the Mammoth Gran Fondo and October in Michigan to visit family. Maybe some of you may come to my event, the Classic Rendezvous West event in Davis, CA the weekend of October 19th where there will be three rides, the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Swap on Friday PM, judged bike display on Saturday and a ride again on Sunday am. More on this in coming days.

Ride safe friends.

Guy

I'm still going. I just managed to scrounge another Avocet O2 Air 40R, my favorite saddle, which hasn't been made for 2 decades, off Ebay. I mounted it on the LeMond last night, and it needs tested. I'll try to remember to take pictures, and hope to see y'all in the coming months!

Geez, guys! You missed a GREAT day for a ride!!! It was just warm enough, not too hot, and I managed to miss getting rolled over by the Spectrum ride at Portola and Sand Hill! In any case, a good time was had by all. I stuck faithfully to the route - it's made up of some of my favorite segments anyway.

I did take the obligatory Rock Wall pic...

See y'all, or a subset of y'all, next month!!

EDIT: Sorry about the Jiffy John in the background. I should have framed my shot better!

My experience for my not-ride today

Friday,
wash the kirk and polish so it looks nice, pump up tires, fill water bottles, layout kit, put bike rack on roof racks

Saturday Get up early excited. morning stuff coffee, hydrate. put bike on rack...took a bit new rack. Off I go...onto 280 from willow glen. will be just in time.
thinking as I am driving finally, then it hits at about De Anza blvd Helmet, glasses, gloves and shoes are at home.... rushed to get out the door and spaced
flip a Ueey and go home. Not time to get back for ride so do 26 miles on streets and los gatos creek trail

Next month if something else does not jinx me

I'm bringing the LeMond again, for those of you who didn't see it last month, which as I recall was everyone.

See y'all Saturday morning!

I'm in. Most likely a 1963 Legnano. But I did ride the '81 Bianchi a couple of days ago and it was a fun ride. We'll see what bike calls my name Saturday morning.

I swear my son's soccer club is scheduling games such that I have to drive down the Peninsula on the day of these rides, but can't actually join them. This Saturday he's got a 10am game in Palo Alto. Kind of tempting to put a bike in the car, park at the field, ride up to the corner and meet all of you briefly, then turn right around to be back before the game ends.

Yet again, life intrudes, so you will all have to do without any Berkeley influence.

It feels like anyone that has a Paramount has to put a describer in when they say they a brining a Paramount since most Paramount owners seem to accumulate them, thus the need to specify which one.
