What the heck is this Somec?
I rescued this with no history on it. The frame build appears to be spot on for a mid 1980’s Air Super Record, but it quickly goes off the rails. The remaining decals on the head, down-tube, top tube and stay are the apparently one year only 1986 red white and blue with stars. The bars apparently went away in 1987. However, the silver over pearl fish net paint is apparently also one year only for 1987. So maybe a cross over, and not so weird. Except, the seat tube has no evidence of any decals, not even tubing, has no rifling, so not SLX and most odd, has a second set of bottle bosses. I have never seen a mid 80’s Somec with these.
I know that some builders complained about cracking with SLX at the bottle bosses, so maybe this has SL instead?
It has no panto at all so likely a bare frame built up and rebuilt many times, so the components cannot by used to ID.
any ideas of what I have here?

Godammit. Why don't I ever come across a Somec that needs rescuing?
Looks a bit like this one: Somec AIR 2001 C-Record 1987 - speedbicycles.com with some differences.
Does yours have a chainstay bridge?

No chain stay bridge on mine.
the Swiss bike in the link is the same paint scheme, but actually way different. It is an Air 2001 and as such, has a different bottom bracket, aero shifter mounts, an indent in the top tube for the brake cable, similar but different decals and came fitted with C Record instead of Super Record or bare, like I suspect mine was originally. I actually spoke with him about this bike when researching mine.
I can only find three other bikes in this color way, this being one of them, so apparently not very common.
