Nrs 3 and 4 are the brothers Arthur and Omer Mommerency, two of the better-known professional riders employed by Devos:

The one thing I hesitated about were the non-aero SLR brake levers. I only have one pair, and they are so nice I would have loved to use them on one of my own bikes. Oh well, nothing but the best for mrs non-fixie!

Here's a Chiorda I built for my then-girlfriend back in the early '80s. We sold it to a friend for his daughter years ago and he recently gave it back to us.

I realize I never really finished this story, and as I don't like loose ends, here's what happened since my previous post here.
After a couple of test rides - after which the bike got good reviews from mrs non-fixie (she was faster than ever on it) - I changed a few things:

For L'Eroica in Gaiole I had build her another bike, but the Devos came along to Italy as well for a week of touring, this time with a set of fenders I'd found. This is how it looks now:
After a couple of test rides - after which the bike got good reviews from mrs non-fixie (she was faster than ever on it) - I changed a few things:
- replaced the honey Brooks with a new black B17S Imperial
- replaced the SLR lever with slightly more vintage levers
- replaced the RD with a long cage version of the same
- mounted a cog set with a bigger range
- mounted an extra bottle cage
