FS: De Rosa frame 55cm CTT

SOLD!! Thanks!

Folks, here is a De Rosa frame, measures 55cm center to top seat tube, same on the top tube. This is a late 80's/early 90's era frame, Columbus SLX. Has the classic diamond shaped chain stays. Light, and responsive. Original paint, though with a number of chips. Includes a Campy C Record headset and a Sugino seat bolt. A very deep blue metallic, looks great in the sun. This frame features internal rear brake cable routing and has De Rosa proprietary dropouts.

Asking $275 which includes shipping to lower 48 states. Let me know if you have questions.....

Thanks,

Andy

Thankfully that makes it about 53 CTC and too small for me.

William saved me from taking the plunge regardless...!

Question; if you add up the $$ for the frame and all the parts you parted out, did it reach your original $1000 price?

Rob, good question - the jury is still out on that, as I still have a bunch of parts to divest from this build. I am hoping to get close to the total, but with the caveat that a few years ago this bike was probably worth quite a bit more than $1K

I think that is the state of things for the time being. Everything I purge comes with a significant loss (from when I bought), except a very few items. Oh well. The joys of non-lucrative hobbies!

Agreed! I feel like I am still ahead even if I sell for a loss, because I sure do get a lot of physical and psychic benefit out of owning, riding and building these magnificent machines.....
