You are aware that you're required to ride your age and report
to us in great detail. Oh, you're allowed pie during or directly
after the ride.
If you don't do the ride you must at least think about doing the/a ride.

We don't have any dues or membership fees, but there is a test. Surely there must be a regional specialty pie for the New Orleans area. Would you describe it for us?

Speak up, young lad. Don't mumble. And stand up straight. And get a haircut. Where are my glasses?

Wow-ee!
Thanks everybody!
I am looking forward to hanging out here. I will behave myself for a while - watch my Ps and Qs (if I can find my glasses) but hope to one day become one of the more "spirited" members of the +50 crowd.
I may be a junior member, but my skin is just as thick as any of you - so calling me on my BS will be received with good cheer and a fine sense of humor.
Cheers!

I've been called a lot of things in my life but never a "crusty old buzzard"
Happy early birthday and don't forget the full report of the birthday ride.

Happy birthday and welcome to the 50+ forum. Like Bev, I don't think anyone has ever referred to me as a crusty old buzzard, but I'll assume that was for the 50+ guys. (What's the comparable for 50+ women, "wrinkly old hag?")
Your blog is apt to raise some eyebrows here. I just completed a Street Smarts class, and I'd love to see you and the teacher go mano de mano.

Hey, not all of us are crusty old buzzards. Some of us are fusty old buzzards. There are a few rusty old buzzards. Even the occasional busty old buzzard. I've been accused of being a rasty old bustard, but it's a bald-headed lie.

Ah! Shucks! Does that mean I'm not junior anymore? Wait! Then I must be fusty then or is it fartsy? Definitely more fartsy these days. Everything seems to gives me gas now. No, stop! What was the question? Did someone say their was buzzard tonight?

Don't worry. My "Home Base" here is the Commuter Forum. I can't think of but one or two posts of mine on the Roadie Forum. I have done some extensive cross country touring, but don't seem to hang out on the Touring board much - don't really know why that is.
Anyways...there are plenty of places here to pick a fight or be picked on without bringing it here. And from personal experience, for myself and others I know, if you somehow lived to be 50+, you are probably not to be trifled with.
Also...my apologies ladies...the "Old Buzzard" tag does not translate well across that gender line. Wouldn't want y'all to feel left out and whatnot, but being happily married for some time now, I know better than to use those manly "terms of endearment" around the house. My bad.
