Redesigned Gmaps
Hey have you seen the newly redesigned Gmaps? You can now check a box to avoid highways, and drag your route to readjust it manually.
Now planning new routes to work just became easier

I noticed this yesterday...still prefer Gmap Pedometer though, for the ability to plan routes that don't always stay on roads. www.gmap-pedometer.comFor a quick 'n' dirty estimate of the distance from A to B, though, the new 'avoid highways' feature is great.

I use gmap pedometer too. It's so much more flexible because the user gets to create their own route on the fly just by pointing and clicking.
