Nashbar vs Profile Air Wing Bullhorns

For those of you who poo-poo Nashbar stuff, just wanted to let you know their bullhorns are actually pretty good. I have both Nashbar and Profile's oversize bullhorns and they have identicle weights even though the hand extensions on the Nashbars are about 1" longer. They both have the same subjective stiffness, and look about the same quailty. Just thought people may not feel so disinclined to purchase them with this tidbid of information.

Differences:
Internal cable routing exit is in a different position.
Nashbar hand positions are about 1" longer (good for some, I like a bit shorter)
Profile has a wider center section designed to accept clip on aerobars

Similarities:
Fit and finish are the same
Weight is the same (within 5 grams)
Stiffness feels about the same.

I have the earlier Nashbars (no flattened top section, no internal routing).. and I really like them.
I just wish they were narrower, or pointed inwards like the Syntace ones.

Dooooh!!! I just received my Nashbar OS bars, and I thought the center section would've been wide enough to fit aero bars!!

They may, but your arm rests will be REALLY close together. OK if you are used to it, but it will be really tight.

if the nashbars are an inch longer but they weigh the same, wouldn't that imply they are thinner?

It may, but the differences between the center section could make up the difference. I put one end of the bar on the ground and put my weight on both and could not tell a difference (subjective I know).

The Profiles say they are Double butted,... leads me to think that Nashbars may be straight gauge but no less stiff... or heavy

I've used the non-OS versions of both, and found them both lacking.

Can you be more specific? I have used Profile Air Wings, Air Wing T2, Nashbars OS, Ritchey Comps, and some entry level syntace bars and found only super minor differences between all of them. It came down to fit for me, and all but my current T2's had a bit of a drop and that is why I switched. What did you find so lacking?

These look pretty nice! My chop n flop drops work but eventually I'd love some real bullhorns. Glad Nashbar has some nice ones!

By the way, I have the Nashbar clip on aerobars (really just a kind of bar extension, they don't come with arm rests), and they're meant to clip to the smaller bar diameter, not the larger where the stem does. How would those work with these bullhorns?

I doubt they would. The bar "tops" are flattened out. Most clip on bars want a 26.0 bar to clamp onto. I will be selling this bar and a stem, along w/ a short reach drop bar if you are interested.

Both the Nashbar non-os (the ones they were offloading last summer for ~$10) and the Profile air wings (again, non-oversized) I've found to be really flexy.
