Fixed-Tandem Group Buy!

Sorry if i mislead you. I know nothing of how something like this could be made possible.
That said, i want one. So... those of you with connections to frame manufacturers, please link them to this poll once sufficient intrest has been generated, assuming they're willing to discount batch pre-ordered tandem frames.

Thank you for advance,
The Undersigned

i want one at a group discount.

note: i'm actually planning to build one up this summer, so i'm hoping to get a shot at an out-of-my-pricerange frame at an in-my-pricerange price because building up a tandem would be way more fun than converting a trek or raleigh.

I will build 10 of them... discounted 20%.
it will only take 6 years....

In all seriousness, why? Unless you have experience on a tandem, you are looking for trouble going fixed...
its always the stoker that gets jacked in a tandem crash, too

If you all really want to ride tandems, check out your local group for the vision impaired. They are often looking for pilots for their stoker athletes.

I'd like to have one, esp. if the sizing could be customized.

Please no tandem group buy.. my wallet and apartment can't handle that right now.

I WANT ONE SO BAD.

I don't care, geared or not. I just want the cheapest tandem I can buy so I can rock around with a friend!

The girlfriend and I have always talked about getting a Jonny Cycles tandem. I think it would be the first (but would love to see one if it isn't!).

Tandem/Fixed. What kind of rear spacing would it use...
123
130
135
140
145
150

It boggles the mind.

Incidentally the gf and I have been starting to ride the cannondale tandem I bout this winter since it's finally warming up some. Where she is a masher and not a spinner she hates when I downshift, and told me the other day she wishes I just had a singlespeed so I would stop shifting.
I'd definitely be in.

I have been dreaming about a fixed tandom for years.

I am interested in a NICE frame if the price is right.

Oh yea..

I met a woman on a ride that was blind and rode stoker on tandoms. We were doing a four day group ride and they asked my friend to captain the tandom for her. They took his bike in the next city while he used the tandom (geared of course).

I guess she could really hammer! It is a GREAT program.

question:
does anyone know of an independent framebuilder who might enjoy the idea of doing something like this (similar to the IRO groupbuys in the past) at a reasonable price?

"Reasonable" in the US is much different than "reasonable" in China.
I think DW broke down the costs a while ago, and I hesitate to say it again, for fear of getting it wrong, but...
Even if we got a builder to do it, I doubt it would come in under 1500 per frame. Just a guess.
