DFW Annual Retro Ride and Bike Show 2013 (picture heavy)

I think the weather was too good and everyone decided to go riding instead today as the turn out was rather light considering the number of emails and inquires that Southwest Frameworks and the other individuals who put this year's event together had. There were still some awesome bikes, some new, some I recognized from years past. I've started processing some of them, probably be a day or two till they're all done (about 80 shots in all to go through in all).

Wish I had known about this. Being new to the area sucks, I can't find decent sources for vintage bikes/frames either...

I really wanted to attend and appreciated David Cheakas at Southwest Frameworks
hosting it very much.

I had a family Christmas event scheduled at the same time so had to miss this year.
Perhaps next year I can attend again. I always enjoy it a lot.

Thanks for the pics Jon.

The above Bruce Gordon belongs to wheel builder Joe Young who knows Bruce quite well from what I understand after getting to talk to Joe some at the show. I sent that photo over to Joe this morning who then forwarded it on to Bruce who kindly asked if he could use it on his blog. Have a few more photos to work on tonight, so I'll try to post another here (as well as however many more get done on the album linked above).

Okay, this was done quick and dirty, but kind of like how it turned out all the same. I rarely do the selective color thing, but here, I think it works.

Thanks for the pics Jon, well done, as usual. There are several beautiful bikes there I would love to see in person, maybe someday our backwater little town will awaken to these works of bicycle art and get some of the local talent together, as well as the greats out there. Glad you documented the event and shared it with us here.

Bill
