I actually cheated by using my mavic sys wheels which IMO are the most balanced and true wheels around to set it up before installing the new wheel and used the cable adjuster to bring the bolt...

It works! This Force derailleur needed a 31.8 to 34.9 adaptor but then wouldn't swing out far enough, not enough to lift the chain to the big ring so some trimming of the internal spring was needed....
