Hey Oscar,
No problems with your grammar over here! I understand what you are saying.
Now that you've spoken to a coach, you now believe that we can hit the rpms we are hitiing?
BTW, I hit my top rpm while using a very light gear on a magtrainer. So I don't know if that counts. Lance spins at 100-110 rpm during time trials. I'm sure his top rpm is much more than that. If you check out coach Hauns' website, you'll see a guy who hit 260 rpm on rollers.
So try finding your top rpm on a low gear, then tell us what you hit.
Cheers!

My computer doesn't have the cadence I have an HB 100 hearts monitor, and it doesn't have that cadence feature on it, so there is no way I will be able to know my cadence unless, I buy another bike computer, which I don't intend too, the odometer reading on my HB100, which I have been using for almost 3 years now is 27,000 kilometers, and the Crystals on the screen is about to give up so if that gives up I will surely buy a Bike computer w/ cadence and a separate Heart Rate Monitor.

Well you can count how many revolutions you make for 15 seconds, then multiply that by 4 to get your cadence. However, I think it would be very difficult to count while spinning at 160 rpms
Cheers!

On a couple of occasions my computer has gone a bit wacky and recorded bizarre cadences, sometimes bouncing around. Say I'm pedalling along at 90, suddenly it might read 40 then a couple of seconds later 280, then back to 90, I think I discovered a lose wire or something.
What kind of computer are you using? I am considering something that records max and avg cadence. Mine just does real time.
Thanks,
Raymond

Hi Raymond!
My comp`r is a "Cateye Wireless 2" Quite new, the pylons I am refering to are strung out over a section of road for appro 1/2 mile and have given me a couple of crazy readings when i have ridden under them .
On a previous occasion my computer screen just blanked out completly until i had travelled the section of road refered to.
Its a rather strange phenominum as on most occasions the comp`r functions quite normally, maybe the climatic conditions are a consideration also, as a couple of hours later we had an almighty thunderstorm!.
Regards Willic.

Which is a good thing, since I've not been active here for almost 4 years.. nor have I been cycling for the same time!!!
Started a new thread but apparently it's so blasphemic, nobody has responded to it yet.

You're one of the original posters to this thread! I don't know if any of the others still hang out in BF, at least not in the forums I frequent.

If it is wireless and your car has antilock brakes, the wheel sensors for the antilock brakes use guess what? a magnet on the wheel assembly. I once looked at my veta after a ride and everything looked normal. I checked it again when I got home, I forgot and left it on in the bike bag in the back seat, and low and behold I had gone another 200 miles.
