Magura Julie Hydraulic Brakes
I have the Magura Julie Hydraulic Brakes for the front wheel of my bike, and I wiped out pretty bad a few days ago and my bike landed handlebars first, thus breaking off the Magura Julie brake lever. The lever snapped clear off my handlebars and the resevoir split open stripping the screw.
I need to buy a a new Magura Julie brake lever for the left side of my handlebars, however I have been having a hard time locating a store or person that sells it. Does anybody know of a store or person who sells the Magura Julie Brake Levers?
Thanks a lot!

I called Magura, however you cannot buy direct from them, and they could not give me the name of any stores that have them in stock. They did give me the part number though, it is 0721557.

I think it might be the case that you'd have to buy a complete lever assembly, rather than one or two separate components. From a safety perspective I'd replace the entire thing.

Also, the part number above is for the entire lever and handle assembly that bolts onto the handlebars.

I'll get in touch with an lbs close to where I work. They are very helpful, and I'll see if they can unravel some information for you to follow up. I'll try and update later on.

The lever is available separately. I phoned some local companies. Some only sell complete systems, and others will get parts on request, and one www.venhill.co.uk does have one in stock. The price is about 42 GBP which is about $60 US?
The UK site is probably not an option for you realistically, but it establishes that the parts are available through the dealerships. I still think Magura US have a list of dealers in your area, and it may be worth pressing them. Otherwise, your lbs could recommend others, you phone them, they recommend someone else, you phone them, they...etc. A schlep maybem but they are out there somewhere.
Your mission codename is "Broken Julie". Happy hunting.

I'm just thinking on something here. Magura also do motorocycle systems. Maybe you could contact some motorcycle dealers as well. I mentioned Venhill and they are into motorcycle parts as well - as mtb systems. Could be worth looking into?
