I have lost the piece in the very top hand right. It's just a simple small wedge.. I was shipping my bike back home and the piece has just vanished. I took it to the LBS, but they want me to buy an entire new headset.

Top right corner piece.

Also, it's a 2012 CAAD10 if that helps.

This is why it's important to have a shop that will go to bat for you. If they call the manufacturer or their supplier and call in a favor, odds are they can get one sent out free. Suppliers always have some spares they cannibalize from defective or returned product, so it's just a matter of someone taking the time.

As to how to have a shop willing to go to bat for you, that's something else entirely.

Thanks to both of you guys. I know a new headset isn't all that expensive, but I've had no issues with this one and it has very low miles. Hopefully, I can get some help from the links above!

Thanks as always guys.

Cane creek is in Fletscher, NC. PHONE them, and ask for a favor. They're really good guys, most are active cyclists, and will go out of their way to help.

For the future, get one of those plastic shower curtain rings that close on themselves and latch, or a somthing similar (even a piece of ribbon) abs slip all headset parts on so it's one big loop that can't get lost. Or use something like a travel soap or cigarette box for the small stuff.
