I live right on Lane too. Yeah the crit is basically on campus, it's about 2 miles or less away from main campus near the track.

The Buckeye Crit right next to the track in the lot was pretty good this year.
Anyone doing the Arnold Crit? What's that course like?

I'm thinking about the Arnold Crit. Teammates seem to think it's a little crazy to do a crit on Mar. 2nd, but they're not ruling it out. That's a lot of intensity on the legs for that early in the year. If it's dry I'll probably do it.

I'll be in the 3's at least and maybe 1,2,3's. Team Dayton, red/navy blue. Silver Fuji Team Pro "training" bike. Don't want to bring out the big guns yet.

Well, good to see that Ohio guys have out rown racing thread now.
So, is anyone going to do a double header? Race on the 1st in Mid-Ohio (I think, right?) and then the Arnold on the 2nd?

I was going to, but now that the Mid-Ohio race doesn't count for upgrade points, I wasn't going to waste my one way 2 hour drive time.

I plan on doing the mid-ohio regardless. That is by far my favorite race of the year. The course is awesome!

I talked to Tym Tyler today on the phone. He said he was aware of the scoring snafu in my and Lowcel's race and that he was going to take care of it. He thinks that Racelisting listed signup order as opposed to finish order. I did not get into the USA cycling issue with him as he was at the hospital with a family member.

I'm kinda torn too on that race. On once hand, it's a good training race, on the other, it's expensive and it's not as much a race as it is a group ride with a sprint to the coffee shop thrown in the end.

Oh Gary, I got a great idea. I'm going to have a better PowerTap wheel than you. I'm getting a 24h one and putting it on my BD group buy carbon tubulars. If I ever get them, that is.

I am not personally to hip on 24h Powertap wheels. For a PT wheel I like to see 3x lacing and bomb proof. Stiff is more important to me for accurate power readings than light.
